I am certified in several different types of mediation and have worked in divorce courts and small claims courts in Massachusetts. I greatly enjoy supporting individuals and couples in clarifying and listening to their inner voices as well as dialoguing with significant others.
My foundation is Nonviolent Communication, the conflict resolution work of Marshall Rosenberg.
"Jenny provides a safe, honest reflection of what I am saying so that I can figure out what is going on inside me."
I am committed to "going upstream" before a relationship breaks down, coaching individuals and couples in the language of feelings and needs and how to communicate them to significant others.
Getting in touch with your feelings and needs in any situation can be transformational.
I use my training and experience in the fields of
mediation and conflict resolution, as well as an
understanding of Five Element personality types, to work with you in order to better understand your own and others' behavior and to practice specific techniques to relate to others with greater ease.
"My wife and I are doing surprisingly well since we saw you. I’m feeling hopeful. Thank you so much for holding space for us."-EC, Massachusetts
And every person alive has one to three dominant elements that explain their behavior and life choices. When you learn your own Elemental makeup, as well as the makeup of others, you can understand your own and others' behavior infinitely more easily, leading to a greatly increased sense of well-being and much more harmonious relationships.
I feel passionate about working with people in understanding the Elemental dynamics in their family or origin as well as supporting couples in better understanding one another and parents in understanding their children and supporting their growth and emotional intelligence.
Research shows that female friendships enormously benefit our physical and mental-emotional well-being. Studies indicate that women are biologically motivated to connect with others as a survival strategy, and that feel-good hormones serotonin and oxytocin are released when women friends hang out together.
Since college, I have gathered intentionally and regularly with groups of women for one reason or another. We share our joys and concerns, respectfully explore vulnerable topics together, and support each other through the ups and downs of life. I feel deeply called to provide opportunities for women to connect and share their journeys with other women.
Since October 2020 I have been facilitating online women's Moon Circles at each new and full moon. We gather via Zoom and do meditation, journaling and healing work together. Participants report much greater ease at connecting with their internal quiet place, happiness at connecting with the other women in the group, and deep healing experiences resulting from the journaling and open-hearted discussion.
I also love taking groups of women on overseas adventures, and I am excited to start hosting international women's retreats once travel becomes commonplace again.
